GUEST - GEORGE CATUOGNO
George serves as the Executive Director of STAR. He is also the Chief Operating Officer of The Varallo Group which provides business management, consulting, and operational services to court company companies nationally. He is an advisory member to the Project Steno Board and manages the day-to-day operations of Project Steno.
He began his career in the court reporting industry in 1986 and later became President of Catuogno Court Reporting and StenTel, providing court reporting and transcription services to the legal and healthcare industries. He received a technology patent for StenTel’s workflow innovation which became the backbone of a transcription platform made available to court reporting firms in the 90s and 2000s.
He left the industry for a few years to pursue other interests. He became CEO of a fishing tackle company and helped launch Trapper Hooks, a favorite of avid anglers, which won best-in-show awards at two annual iCast international conferences and which were awarded multiple patents. He then pursued his passion for real estate and became licensed in Florida. He is a Graduate of the Realtor® Institute (GRI) and continues to maintain activity as a Realtor®.
George returned to the court reporting industry to work with his sister, Nancy Varallo, and The Varallo Group in 2020. He lives in Jupiter, FL, is married and has three children, and he is passionate about the game of pickleball!
